Information Management Officer (Secret clearance required)

As a Senior Information Management Officer (IMO) you will provide IT support to NETCOM and NETCOM supported organizations for Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) hardware, software, data, applications, tools, systems used by the Army. This includes direct support to NETCOM G-6 with business operations, Cybersecurity, Knowledge Management Integration (KMI), Army Enterprise Service Ownership/Development, Capability Management and Content Management requirements. You will be expected to provide support in accordance with (IAW) industry best practices as delineated in frameworks such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and shall provide support on all environments including any hardware, software, applications, tools, systems, or networks used by the Government, whether developed, leased, or commercially purchased. Work will include employing agency-specific or unique hardware and software in both classified and unclassified network environments as well as legacy, current, and new systems at various lifecycle stages.

  • Provide support for managing access accounts for users on NETCOM managed Army DoDIN environments in accordance with business need and Army policies.
  • Maintain user records and revoke access upon expiration or in absence of business need.
  • Provides advanced troubleshooting, support, and O&M for all IT systems in support of NETCOM G-6 customer.
  • Support NETCOM HQs customers with IT support issues.
  • Responsible for granting SharePoint access to all Army SharePoint administrators and SharePoint site collection managers.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment ensuring they are online and patched so that they can be used in the event of a COOP.
  • Assists the government with the planning and deployment of new COOP equipment.
  • Also assists the government when testing the COOP plan approximately four times per year and support periodic, short or no-notice testing of the plan.
  • Update, maintain and modify the NETCOM Headquarters IT Service COOP for Government approval and IAW Government direction.
  • Testing will include drafting transportation plans, establishing the breakdown of the network structure and components, telephone and video teleconferencing equipment and services at various NETCOM COOP sites.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS + 7 years of Information Technology (IT) experience or AA/AS + 5 or BA/BS + 4 at minimum
  • Must have IAT II certification (GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP) or equivalent prior to hire
  • Install & Configure Windows 10 training (Skillport) w/in 180 days of hire
  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD and Army regulations DISA STIGs and IAVAs
  • Assist with issues and effectively troubleshoot and document complex technical problems
  • Document technical troubleshooting efforts in ticketing system and Knowledge Management Systems
  • Work independently and as a team member; set priorities and organize work to meet deadline
  • Follow organizational processes and polices
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor team members and colleagues
  • Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities
  • Interact with customer representatives on highly advanced technical issues
  • Compose and deliver reports and presentations of the highest professional quality.
  • Recommends technologies to accomplish long-term objectives
  • Develops concepts, products, or technologies that extend knowledge in fields of expertise
  • Exhibits exceptional ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
  • Explains and presents high-level technical subjects and processes related to assignments
  • Acts independently on technical matters pertaining to assigned field and related disciplines
  • Must have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with team members and team lead
  • Perform other duties as assigned
