Join our client's newly-formed BGS Operations team in a Contracts Closeout role where you will develop and demonstrate contracts acumen while gaining a comprehensive knowledge of all the business functions. You will play a role in achieving both the closeout metric and cancelling funds burndown objectives for the BGS business as well as our DCMA customer. A trusted face to our client's St. Louis DCMA customer, you will establish and maintain good working relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the Contracts Manual contract closeout process for multiple BGS contracts
- Coordinate with Contract Acquire Reps to submit active contracts into the closeout process
- Manage the closeout forms with applicable functions (Billing/AR, Cost Accounting, Fin Controls, Patent Office, Legal, Supplier Management, Property, Security, Data Management) for their actions in support of the closeout process
- Provide closeout status to our DCMA customer
- Manage internal actions holistically throughout the process.
- Coordinate FY Cancelling Funds for multiple cost type contracts (whether in closeout or active contracts) with the applicable BGS program to determine de-obligation amounts, invoicing amounts and/or other internal actions while coordinating with DCMA to support their cancelling funds metrics and process.
Qualifications:
- Able to work with multiple functions and demonstrate leadership in the process as well as building quality customer relationships.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Strong leadership, communication skills and the willingness to work with minimal direction is expected.
- Able to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with other functions, DCMA customers and contract Acquire reps on the programs.
- Positive work attitude and team approach will be most successful in this position.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience.
