Description of Duties:
Candidate will be responsible for negotiating, issuing and managing supplier contracts/BPA within a predominant DOD environment. Duties include but are not limited to: developing strategic relationships with vendors/suppliers, issuing request for proposals, evaluating proposals responses, negotiation of prices, terms/conditions and annual vendor price contracts, creating and issuance of Purchase Orders, documenting procurement packages in accordance with a government-approved purchasing system, pre/post award contract administration and interacting with other departments (Program Management, Contracts, Receiving and Accounting) during the different phases of the procurement life cycle.
Accredited BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, Supply/Chain Management, Contracts/Procurement or equitable field and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or 5 years or more relevant experience with the entire procurement life cycle in a DOD government contracting/procurement environment.
Candidate must have strong technical purchasing skills including expertise in evaluating, negotiating and executing material and labor purchases in accordance with the FAR and best commercial practices. High level of communication skills both written and verbal are required.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
