Responsibilities:

• Port C source code models to a National Instruments (NI) infrastructure. Porting will include conversion of 1553 centric logic to the NI engineering unit paradigm, unit testing of ported models using NI's Veristand, UI Manager and TestStand.
• Support integration of ported model components to NI abstracted 1553 and 429 cards.
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
• Develop and maintain code; integrate software components into fully functional software system.
• Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
• Perform software project management and software supplier management functions.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools and metrics.
• Execute and document software research and development projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
• Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
• Work under general direction.

 

Qualifications:

• Required – skill in modeling, integration, and C
• Knowledge of National Instruments Veristand, UI Manager and TestStand a plus.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC-429 protocols a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
