The focus of this position will be to work with the Software Engineering group to understand and map compliance and document gaps with CNSSI 1253 requirements. For gaps in compliance, analyze, prioritize and work with leaders to define ways to mitigate the control gaps. Develop an action plan (POAM).

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and/or implement enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
• Oversee the application development, database design, network and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams to comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Research, design, and advocate new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners, and vendors.
• Maintain information security strategy and architecture.
• Analyze business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks.

 

Qualifications:

• Proficient in developing and maintaining requirements related to the implementation, design and validation of control systems to meet cyber security requirements, including IS0 27001, CNSSI 1253 and NIST 800-53.
• Architecture, design and maintenance for large distributed command, control, and communication systems.
• Focus on local area and wide area networks and Cyber security for the overall system.
• Knowledge of configuration management, network security and risk management, device and system troubleshooting, network monitoring & diagnostics; hardware and software upgrades, technology review & evaluation, and an in-depth understanding of the OSI model.
• System engineering skills and experience with requirements and verification of requirements.
• Certifications desired: SEC+, CISA (Certified Information System Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and/or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
