Our client is seeking several Automated Software Test Engineers to support a growing team testing systems and applications for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/FEMA.

 

Responsibilities Include:

Candidates shall provide testing services to support Government Acceptance Testing of contractor and FEMA internally developed/configured systems and applications. The Engineer will perform the following tasks using various forms of testing to support Agile, Scrum, Traditional, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and Waterfall:

• IV&V Functional Testing
• IV&V Performance, Load, Stress and Endurance Testing
• Development of Test Automation Scripts
• Development of Test Cases
• Scheduling
• Regression testing
• HP Performance Center Scripts
• Test Script Maintenance
• Section 508 Testing
• Monitor Users Acceptance Testing
• Development of Test Plans
• Development of Test Cases
• Documentation
• Requirements Traceability Matrix
• Research and Recommending Tools and Processes
• Software Administration Support
• Training Support

 

Required Skills:

• Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Five (5+) years of strong software quality assurance and testing experience
• Expert knowledge in the use of the HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), HP Unified Functional Testing, SQL, SOAPUI, Jenkins, Cucumber, Selenium, JERI, Sonar and Performance Center/Load Runner
• Experience with IV&V Functional, IV&V Performance, Load, Stress, Endurance and Regression Testing
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation scripts
• Experience developing test cases and test plans
• 508 testing experience
• Experience developing and maintaining the requirements traceability matrix
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills needed
• US Citizenship and ability to pass a government background investigation

 

Desired Skills:

• DHS' Active EOD/BI or Suitability
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Passion of continued learning and motivation to improve the quality of product is preferred
• Knowledge of DHS IT policies and procedures
• Experience at Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
