Test Automation Engineer is responsible for helping automate clients’ complex and mission essential systems per DevOps principles. The candidate should be well-versed in scripting along with other DevOps tools. The most important scripting technique/language will be Python and Ruby.
Responsibilities:
Close interaction with customer leadership teams to understand process and technical inefficiencies to streamline enterprise test strategy
Ability to liaison between software development, operations, and customer stakeholders to formalize the test plan for multiple apps
Hands on ability to develop automation scripts in Python, Ruby, and other languages
Knack to identify gaps and eliminate manual steps by implementing a robust solution for project portfolio teams
Ability to mentor other team members in an Agile environment
Qualifications:
7-10 years of related experience
Extensive experience with Java and Open Source; some .NET is also desirable.
Experience with Web testing
Technically good in scripting languages (Python, Ruby), OO Programming languages and databases.
Proficient with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, etc.
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
Involved in design decision and implementation as part of automation or application development
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive client facing experience
Well versed in configuration management using Git.
Be a technical mentor for the team and guide junior developers
Ability to develop and deliver in Scrum model

Automation Feasibility Analysis of Requirements
Identify Automation stories to support the test case automation – stories around Design, Database design, Code Optimization, etc.
Assist the Scrum master in Sprint Planning
Overall technical lead for automation development
Code review and merge
Cut out release branch with release notes
