Job Description:

Qualified candidates shall provide instructional support and training development for the Cyber School. Personnel supporting the school shall assist and support the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) personnel and shall utilize and develop all training-related products IAW all applicable regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) (i.e. TRADOC REG 350-70 with appendixes). Instructors will facilitate adult learning through modern training techniques and methodologies and assist in developing Cyberspace Operations (CO) curriculum. The Cyber Common Technical Core (CCTC) course embraces the adult learning concept by creating an environment that is approximately 80% hands-on and 20% knowledge-based instruction.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • The Candidate must possess at least 5 years of experience of operating system concepts such as processes, threads, context switching, user mode/kernel mode, synchronization, IO and CPU Scheduling and their associated algorithms, memory management, and filesystems. (An active contributor to an open-source kernel or someone providing these services who has written software that interacts with the Windows kernel would likely have this level of skill.)
  • Must have experience with Windows, Linux, and programming in a professional setting within the past 5 years.
  • Possess 3 years of experience in writing x86 assembly and C.
  • Possess 2 years of experience of the aforementioned in Windows, GNU/Linux, and BSD.
  • Possess the ability to complete both LFS and BLFS (Linux from Scratch/Beyond Linux from Scratch).
  • Must be well versed in both the Linux API and the Windows API (win32 & UWP).
  • Candidate must have graduated the Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC) and either the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or the Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course (FIFC) within the last five (5) years. If not, the candidate must attend and graduate from SCTC, ABIC or FIFC within 3 months.
  • Successfully pass two Cyber School-administered instructor evaluations within 3 months.
  • Attend and complete the Cyber Faculty Development Workshop (CyFDW) within 4 months.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance level during their employment.

 

Education Requirements:

A completed Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or an equivalent degree preferred. Experience (4+ years) may be used in lieu of a degree.
