Responsibilities:
Software Test Engineers participate in the design and development of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms.
- Develop, execute, and document test cases
- Participate in internal review of software components and systems
- Receive general instructions and guidance from immediate supervisor and work on problems with defined scope, schedule and expectations
- Build stable working relationships internally
- Travel may be required
- Keep abreast of technology trends and champions new ideas and product and process improvements
Qualifications:
Required – Experience with the following:
- C / C++ programming
- Linux Scripting Languages (Bash, Ksh, Python, etc.)
- Database (Mongo, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Verification testing
- Writing test plans, test procedures, and test result documentation
- IBM DOORS Requirements/ Requirement Traceability
- Model Based Design (Rhapsody, SysML, UML)
- Operating Systems (Linux and commercial RTOS)
- Local network routers (admin / configuration)
Preferred – Experience with the following:
- Go programming language
- Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Atlassian, etc.)
- Software Static/Dynamic Analysis
- LDRA SW Analytical tools (Testbed / TBVision / TBrun)
- Parasoft
- Change Control (IBM Rational Team Concert)
- Cyber security
- Familiar with DO-178C, DO-330, DO-331, DO-332, and AR20-148
- Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Agile experience preferred.
- Preferred Degrees: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
