Supply Technician

Description of Duties:

In support of an anticipated contract award, this position performs all aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, kitting, data base update, and property utilization) related to supply activities. Primary job functions include: Monitor and support receipt and issue documents, process warranty transactions and returns, update property book hand receipts, post and edit supply transactions, and enter data into the ASTS inventory software system. May also perform functions of packing and shipping of final production products. This position may require work to be performed both in and outdoors during all weather conditions. Work requires extensive walking, standing, stooping, etc. Position may also include purchasing responsibility for low dollar kit and spare part components.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure every support request is documented and captured using the contractor provided/Government approved inventory management and configuration control management system.
  • Ensure contracted terms and conditions area adhered to by vendors.
  • Assist in soliciting and evaluating vendor repair quotes and estimates to ensure the Government receives the best possible price.
  • Conduct routine follow-up on open procurements to ensure timely deliveries of service.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records for tracking deliverables.
  • Prepare accountability and shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate prompt shipment of equipment and supplies using the most appropriate shipping method.
  • Monitor in-transit shipment status and location and provide updates while equipment is being shipped.

 

Education/Skills required:

HS Diploma or equivalent, minimum of 2 years Supply experience; possess proficiency in use of WMMS, ASTS is highly preferred - Specific experience includes the ability to obtain a forklift license; able to lift 50 lbs.; load and unload trucks; must possess a current state driver’s license (Class C); must be a U.S. Citizen to be able to pass a NACI background check; passing of pre-employment drug test; and must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) Card.

  • Experience generating and tracking work orders; purchasing for Government agencies preferred.
  • Possess strong computer skills, ability to be flexible, ability to adapt to changing requirement, and handle multiple tasks while meeting key deadlines.
  • Ability to operate as a member of a strong team as well as work independently to complete daily tasks and report status as required.
  • Will possess strong communication skills and be a driven and highly motivated team member
