As Senior Cyber Compliance Engineer you will provide IT support to HQ FORSCOM G-6 and supported organizations for Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) hardware, software, data, applications, tools, systems used by the Army. This includes direct support to HQ FORSCOM G-6 with business operations, Cybersecurity, Knowledge Management Integration (KMI), Army Enterprise Service Ownership/Development, Capability Management and Content Management requirements. You will be expected to provide support on task that include Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliance Support. Work will include but is not limited the following tasks:

  • Assesses DoD Information Systems against the RMF security controls IAW DoDI 8500, DoDI 8510, CNSSI 1253, and NIST SP 800-53
  • Develops, author’s, and reviews documentation for compliance including Configuration Management Plans, Network Infrastructure Plans, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, and all supporting processes, procedures, and policies in support of RMF A&A activities
  • Performs duties as a technical security Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as well as non-technical management personnel to ascertain the security posture of all HQ FORSCOM G-6 owned IT systems
  • Identifies mitigating factors for identified risks and proposes additional mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities
  • Evaluates a wide array of IT devices for Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance using ACAS/ Nessus, SCAP Compliance Checker, and manual checklist reviews. This includes Windows and Red Hat Linux servers.
  • Advises IMO’s and Developers with STIGs, IAVA and security guidance for a variety of devices to ensure compliance
  • Assist system owners with all self-assessment required tasks and tracking of security requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS + 6 years of Information Technology (IT) experience or AA/AS + 4 or BA/BS + 2 at minimum
  • Must IAM II (CISSP or CASP (CISSP preferred)) or equivalent prior to hire
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project, the scope for multiple projects, and identifying when additional technical experts or other resources are needed
  • Lead technical projects, assign tasks, and ensure suspense’s are met by working with appropriate managers to set priorities
  • Ensure suspense dates are met in accordance with program/project plans for pre-installation and post-installation deliverables
  • Maintain awareness of relevant technical advances and incorporate technical subject matter expert recommendations for new technologies into technology refresh plans covering systems, tools, and processes
  • Evaluate changes for impact on capacity, and increase capacity as necessary to prevent service degradation
  • Review tools and enhanced capabilities for their optimal use and related support requirements
  • Research, test, and evaluate new technology for insertion; document implementation and sustainment; and present results of the evaluation, that addresses cost and performance
  • Direct experience Project Management highly desirable
