Retail Finance Manager - Implement Sales

We are looking for an agribusiness hero. The ideal candidate for this new role in our rapidly expanding firm has retail banking, lending, credit management, accounting or finance in their background. Be a revenue support leader for a dynamic and growing collection of major-brand, independent ag implement dealerships across Southwestern Iowa under a single ownership group. Support all major sales functions across nearly one dozen locations and work directly with clients to create financing opportunities as they grow their own businesses or maintain and improve their properties.

We pay a highly competitive base salary with annual bonus and incentive opportunities that will accelerate in just a few years. This position will be poised for promotion and growth as our group grows. Travel between business units is part of the job and will position you for greater success.

Reports to: Director of Sales

Supervises: Assigned Accounting and Administrative Staff

Responsibilities:
•Manages all aspects where finance information, tools, processes and programs are utilized to enhance, sales, market share, and profitability
•Drives the cultural understanding that effective use of financing and assessing customer risk will improve business performance
•Program Creation and Analysis - Works in conjunction with the Director of Sales to create programs and initiatives to increase new and used sales results, assign budgets and create the equipment finance programs using available incentive funds, analyzes program effectiveness, and recommends adjustments as appropriate
•Fund Management - Works in conjunction with the Director of Sales to set the strategies, policies and procedures for how incentive funds will be used to enhance sales performance
•Transaction Structure Assistance - Utilizes finance product expertise (installment and lease) to provide assistance to sales team on complex transactions
•Customer Target List Creation - Utilizes existing data tools (JD Aim, EDA, and CRM - Handle) to create customer target lists for the sales teams to utilize
•Finance Skill Improvement - Works in conjunction with the Director of Sales to identify training needs of sales professionals at the individual level and works with finance companies (JDF, Ag Direct, Wells Fargo and other lending institutions) to assist in bringing the best finance solution, product and process training and development
•Communication of Finance Issues - Serves as the primary contact point for sales professionals and dealership management related to finance. Communicates programs throughout the organization and ensures understanding. Is a primary contact point for JDF resources and champions two-way communication
•Troubled Account Resolution - Coordinates between Dealer Management and JDF on troubled accounts to bring to resolution limiting dealership exposure/loss.
•Finance Goals and Metrics - Tracks organizational standing and progress related to finance goals, communicates results to the organization and recommends adjustments to company procedures as appropriate
•Effectively partners with each company location in each line of business to deliver our full complement of Equipment products and services
•May structure and complete straight forward secured and unsecured business loans
•This manager has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring customers interested in financing and services to partner vendors

NOTE: Individuals in this position must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements. The qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness; however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary.

Requirements:
•2+ years of proven successful experience in a retail finance, banking, credit-related or accounting environment; 1+ years management experience preferred
•Familiarity and experience with John Deere and competitive products desired
•Proven managerial ability including leading, coaching, and developing others
•Solid analytical, business planning, problem solving, and communication skills
•Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
•Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and internal partners
•Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, gain information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions
•Strong prospecting, negotiation, and influencing skills
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment
•Basic Microsoft Office skills
•Strong telephone etiquette skills
•Knowledge and understanding of business banking: credit
•Knowledge and understanding of business banking: products and services
•Strong customer relationship management skills
•Customer relationship management experience
•College degree preferred
