Plant Maintenance Mechanic – 1st shift-Direct Hire
Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm

Requires a minimum of 2 years progressive experience in preventative and general maintenance in a production or manufacturing environment. Welding and electrical experience is a definite plus.
Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & test parts/components on plant & production equipment (mostly welding and machining equipment)
Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order
Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments to ensure a continuous production operation
Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant & production equipment
Use hand & power tools to remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & test parts/equipment on plant &
Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic work on production machines as needed
Welding and Fabrication
Assist in installing and replacing bearings, bushings, speed reducers, shafts, pulleys, idlers, motors, couplings, hydraulic systems
Assist with outside contractors on larger maintenance and repair projects
General buildings and grounds maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years progressive mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Vocational tech training in machine maintenance a plus.
Carry and push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to read and write English for completion of production/quality documents.
Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages
Ability to communicate effectively with plant personnel to ensure production issues are addressed and resolved as quickly as possible
Ability to problem solve when production/maintenance issues arise
Familiar with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, plasma cutter, torch and basic hand tools
Familiar with mechanical controls
Electrical experience is a plus
