Estimator/Senior Estimator: 

Our leading Commercial Contractor traces its roots over 100 years in Northeast Wisconsin. With a reputation for quality work that exceeds expectations they continue to set the bar as the go-to contractor both locally and nationally.

As they continue to grow, they are seeking a qualified Estimator/Senior Estimator to joint their team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting the project team throughout bid processes by managing and coordinating all incoming bid information, while managing, coordinating, and preparing detailed pricing for individual disciplines of larger projects up to detailed estimates for smaller projects in a timely manner
• Represent our client at pre-bid meetings and site walks / surveys.
• Review design documents to determine necessary trades required for bidding a complete project.
• Prepare detailed scope sheets for individual disciplines on a large project, using this same approach for all disciplines on smaller projects.
• Communicate clearly with subcontractor partners.
• Understand material unit costs, systems unit costs, and buildout square foot costs.
• Has a working knowledge of all plans, specifications, and documents related to the position.
• Become familiar all policies and procedures as it relates to the estimating position.
• Manage incoming invitations to bid by organizing and distributing information as it is received.
• Issue invitations to bid to subcontractor partners. Receive and organize incoming subcontractor bids for review by team.
• Identify, coordinate, and track key dates and deliverables for the team.
• Assist in maintaining internal historical costs and project databases.
• Assist the entire team (Business Development, Project Management, Marketing, etc.) with the generation of preconstruction material for presentation purposes.
• Actively participates on internal team(s) which focuses on continuous improvements of the business and its processes.
• Prequalify subcontractors and help maintaining subcontractor partner database.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent relevant construction experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), construction estimating software with On Screen Takeoff (OST) preferred.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and technology tools.
• Understand the importance of interacting with and maintaining positive working relationships with Owners, Architects, and subcontractor partners.
