Join a growing company that is doing work for a great cause!  This is a newly created role.  

Scope: Cloud native company, no on-prem, it’s all Azure cloud-based platforms or SaaS elements

What they will be doing:

• Understanding of the operational needs.
• Set up system alerting, cloud scaling of services.
• Also some architectural work, how to design to ensure operational integrity, etc.
• A major component would be build and release, getting code deployed.

Most Important Qualifications & Why:

 

• Prefer a senior person – they will be initializing the operations, so someone with expertise would be best.

• Must have experience building automated deployment pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS).They can train someone in the tools, but need the experience.
• Must have exp building monitoring and alerting into cloud infrastructure, can be AWS or Google, but need to understand metrics to be able to track and know our infrastructure is healthy.
• Should have PowerShell or some other state config scripting language.

 

Nice to have:

• architecture experience: familiar with message-based or function-based infrastructures… can help devs design next system, the research portal, what pieces to use out of Azure’s giant toolbox, etc.
• Someone quite comfortable running at the command line would be great
