4 Point Consulting is partnering with Getaround to recruit a full-time Claims Team Supervisor in Phoenix.

Car owners everywhere choose Getaround to help them safely rent cars to friends, colleagues, neighbors, and strangers. As part of Getaround’s Claims team, you will help navigate any issues that arise and drive positive experiences for car owners and renters.

The Claims Team Supervisor/Manager will be responsible for managing 7-10 Claims Advocates that are responsible investigating and resolving auto claims, for repairing cars, and for providing customer support to Getaround’s car owners and renters. You’ll also be responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing Claims Advocates in Phoenix, as well as managing Claims Specialists that currently work remotely. This is a fantastic opportunity to help build out Getaround’s new Phoenix office and empower car owners to share their cars!

Primary responsibilities (aka “What you’ll be doing”)

  • Coach, develop, and lead a team of Claims Advocates and Claims Specialists, ensuring claims are properly processed, meet quality standards, and exceeding productivity goals

  • Drive customer satisfaction, resolve customer complaints, escalations, and other critical issues

  • Provide guidance to team members where there is ambiguity

  • Meet pre-defined daily, weekly, and monthly goals and metrics including service levels, customer satisfaction scores and response times

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and processes to drive efficiency and improve customer experience

  • Identify and propose changes to policies that can reduce risk and exposure

  • Ensure department and company key objectives are met, supporting various projects

Qualifications (aka “Skills”)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years experience managing teams both locally and remotely

  • 3+ years of auto insurance and/or claims processing experience

  • Proficient with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel

  • Track record of leveraging products and tools to achieve improvements in key customer metrics

  • Ability to investigate issues, assess responsibility and make sound judgements with incomplete information

  • Demonstrated judgment balancing organizational needs and customer service

  • High level of technical claim and legal knowledge

Additional Awesomeness

  • Prior experience with Zendesk, Looker, or other similar systems

  • Experience with on-demand marketplace

  • Familiarity working with and managing third party claims administrators

  • Experience with financial collections and recovery methods

  • Insurance industry designations (CPCU, AIC, ARM, etc)
