The Digital Analyst is responsible for providing data driven insights across a range of digital marketing business topics. This role supports internal and external customers and will interface directly with a Scientific Games Lottery partner. This is a strategic role—we are seeking a business-oriented analyst who is excited about solving business problems and strives to form a deep understanding of the business itself.

 

The analyst will be responsible for the ongoing analysis of the Lottery customer’s loyalty program. We are seeking a candidate with prior digital marketing experience and a fundamental understanding of the relevant KPI’s across acquisition, engagement, and retention marketing. While we are looking for someone who can drive strategic recommendations, the role will also involve Business Intelligence (BI) content creation and ongoing reporting, including responding to ad-hoc analytical requests. We are seeking a creative, critical thinking candidate that can not only execute based on requirements but also bring new ideas to the table.

 

Technically, an in-depth knowledge of Tableau Desktop Professional is required, and prior experience publishing and managing analytical content on Tableau Server is essential. Knowledge of SQL is also required, with the ideal candidate able to independently write SQL in order to perform various data extraction and aggregation tasks. The analyst will interface with multiple business and technology groups and must have strong communication skills and people skills. The Digital Analyst should be naturally curious and excited to not only create dashboards, but also interpret results and provide business recommendations. We are looking for a creative problem solver that can think critically and provide data driven insights to an important Lottery partner.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and refine Business Intelligence content within a Tableau Server environment
  • Proactively generate insights based on regular evaluations of existing content
  • Answer complex ad-hoc questions that arise from internal/external stakeholders
  • Work to develop new KPI’s that can be used by the organization and our customers
  • Provide regular reporting of industry trends and happenings to key SG and Lottery stakeholders
  • Meet and strive to exceed customer Business Intelligence expectations
  • Ongoing analysis of customer experience metrics

     

    Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Minimum of 3 years of analyst experience
  • Must have attained at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Expertise with Google Analytics & Firebase is desirable
  • Must be adept at using SQL to extract and aggregate data is required
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
  • Must have a mentality that aligns with continuous learning, improvement, and personal growth
  • Must be a self-starter who can independently research, identify solutions, and solve problems
  • Travels to client location, when appropriate

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Tableau Desktop Professional and Tableau Server experience is required
  • Critical thinker that can provide valuable business insights based on the analysis of data
  • Highly organized and capable of independently managing complex analytic deliverables
  • Strong communicator, with the ability to express findings to a variety of audience types
  • Quickly learn new database schemas, with an intuition for data structure
