Position Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Person-Centered & Training Development Coordinator. This unique role combines the responsibilities of facilitating person-centered support for job seekers with disabilities while also developing and delivering accessible training to empower these individuals toward competitive integrated employment. This role will collaborate with the Director of Person-Centered Supports, the InVEST team, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and assess training programs that meet the needs of individuals with disabilities and ensure alignment with InVEST’s goals.

Full-Time, hourly range $24.00-$26.00

Job Responsibilities - Highlights:

Person-Centered Support:
  • Facilitate Integrated Resource Team (IRT) meetings to provide individualized support for job seekers, identifying and overcoming barriers to employment.
  • Collaborate with service providers to create coordinated, person-centered plans that help people with disabilities achieve meaningful employment.
  • Foster open communication between people supported, their families, and other support networks.
  • Develop opportunities for people with disabilities to influence person-centered practices.
  • Ensure real-time monitoring and progress tracking of person-centered plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Provide Employment Support as needed, including job coaching and employer engagement.
Training Plan Development:
  • Develop customized training plans tailored to the needs of people with disabilities to promote employability and job readiness.
  • Design training modules that address core skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, workplace communication, and time management.
  • Ensure training content is accessible, utilizing a variety of formats (audio, visual, eLearning, etc.) and assistive technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to adapt training materials to meet the diverse needs of participants.
Facilitating and Delivering Training:
  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, using inclusive and adaptive teaching methods to support diverse learning needs.
  • Offer one-on-one coaching and individualized support to help participants build confidence and overcome barriers.
  • Gather and analyze participant feedback to adjust training approaches, ensuring the program’s effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Collaboration and Resource Development:
  • Work closely with business services, disability support specialists, and community partners to connect job seekers with resources, job placement opportunities, and support services.
  • Assist in developing community outreach initiatives to promote the employment of people with disabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, policies, and tools related to disability inclusion and workforce development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Disability Studies, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in human services or workforce development, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
  • Proven experience in person-centered planning and facilitating inclusive training programs.
  • Charting the LifeCourse Ambassador certification, or in process of obtaining it.
  • Familiarity with Competitive Integrated Employment and disability inclusion best practices.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License, a properly insured vehicle available for daily use, and Act 33, 34, and FBI clearances.

Details:

This is a temporary role with a primary focus on supporting the InVEST Project’s training needs. Flexibility in schedule and a collaborative mindset are key to success in this position.

This is a contract position with the duration of 9-12 months.

Health Insurance

  • Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Employer covers 70% of employee-only premium; employee covers 30% (deducted from payroll).
  • Employees may elect dependent coverage (100% employee-paid).
  • Coverage begins the first day of the month following the date of employment or eligibility.

Time Off

  • PAID TIME OFF (vacation, personal, sick, etc.)
    • Standard PTO package: 80 hours/annual, 40 hours received Jan 1, 40 hours received Jul 1, and prorated based on hire date.
    • PTO cannot be used until completion of a 90-day introductory period.
    • PTO does NOT rollover to following year – “use or lose.”

Retirement

  • 401(k) plan available (discretionary employer match based on company profitability)
  • Eligibility: One-year waiting period with 1,000 service hours required
