Job Description:

As a Nurse Practitioner at our new location, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Under general supervision, this exempt position is responsible for providing diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems along with preventive care focused on health risk factor reduction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting patient assessments and evaluations
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribing medications and treatments
  • Educating patients on health management and disease prevention
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Performing administrative support work such as word processing, creating spreadsheets, data entry and retrieval
  • Ordering, monitoring, and distributing program supplies/resources
  • Ensuring accuracy and conformance to established procedures and policies
  • Counseling patients regarding their responsibilities and rights
  • Adhering to patient confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Virginia
  • State licensure and board certification required
  • Valid DEA license
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
