Client Summary
The client is a prominent collection services provider with more than 30 years of experience. They specialize in enhancing clients' financial outcomes by expediting cash flow and maintaining positive consumer relations. The company employs skilled Collection Specialists who adhere to Local, State, and Federal regulations while representing clients. The client prides itself on cutting-edge collection technology and continuous investments to deliver effective and compliant results that meet clients' expectations.

Job Functions:

  • Debt Recovery Specialists assist consumers with the resolution of past due accounts for our government client.
  • The role is performed in a call center environment and involves both inbound and outbound contact answering questions regarding open balances assigned by our client, processing payments, and setting up payment arrangements.
  • Learn how to utilize and be fully functional on any client system that may be assigned.
  • A multi-step training and coaching program will ensure the overall success and that all Federal and State Collection laws are met.
  • Skip tracing for accounts that do not have valid/current contact information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Employee must be proficient in the use of the following:
    • Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 11)
    • Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
    • Ability to learn multiple separate client computer systems
  • Proficient in the use of the English language and possess effective oral and written skills.
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

  • Educational requirements:
    • Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED

Compensation & Payroll

  • $17-18/hr
  • OT Eligible
  • Bi-weekly Pay Cycle

Health Insurance

  • Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Employer covers 70% of employee-only premium; employee covers 30% (deducted from payroll).
  • Employees may elect dependent coverage (100% employee-paid).
  • Coverage begins the first day of the month following the date of employment or eligibility.

Time Off

  • 40 hours of accrued sick time annually
  • Accrual rate: 1 hour per pay period for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours annually
  • Sick time available after a 90-day introductory period
  • Unused sick time rolls over, with a max cap of 40 hours per year
  • Employees may take unpaid time off if approved by the client (must inform Absolute Staffing of any approved time off)

Retirement

  • 401(k) plan available (discretionary employer match based on company profitability)
  • Eligibility: One-year waiting period with 1,000 service hours required
