Seeking a Vulnerability Scanning Professional to join SAIC to support their PBGC customer in Washington, D.C. This position is a member of a team that supports the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), an independent agency of the United States government. The team operates within the agency’s Information Technology Infrastructure Operations Department (ITIOD). The role is a part of the Security Operations team in support of the PBGC ITIOD. The successful candidate will manage the Device Scanning program, reporting to the Vulnerability Management team lead.

Provide technical hands-on support for vulnerability scanning, with an emphasis on device scanning, using Tenable SecurityCenter and Tenable Nessus. Configure, manage, and operate Tenable SecurityCenter and Tenable Nessus, and other vulnerability scanning tools as required. Execute, manage, and troubleshoot device vulnerability scans. Work with tool vendors to resolve issues. Develop, execute, and improve work instructions and other technical documentation related to vulnerability scanning. Analyze vulnerability data with a variety of tools. Effectively and accurately document work in various formats including work instructions, change management requests, incident tickets, and email. Improve efficiency through process improvement and automation.

 

The individual must be able to analyze data effectively in Excel. The individual must have hands-on technical knowledge of some of the following: security tools, networking, Linux administration, Windows administration, scripting and automation.

The individual must be able to communicate effectively with a minimum of supervision in verbally and in writing. Must be able to use Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint effectively.

This position is temporarily remote due to Covid-19. However, will be eventually seated in Washington, DC.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus six (6) years of related information security experience otherwise eight (8) years of work experience and five (5) years must be in Vulnerability Management Domain.

     

  • Three (3) years of experience providing hands on technical support utilizing Tenable SecurityCenter and Tenable Nessus.

     

  • Three (3) years of experience executing, managing, and troubleshooting device vulnerability scans.

     

  • Two (2) years of experience developing, executing, and improving work instructions and other technical documentation related to vulnerability scanning.

     

  • Must be able to analyze data effectively in excel

     

  • Must be a US Citizen
