Facilities Security Lead (TS/SCI Required)

Serve as primary POC for all facility security matters.

  • Ensure facility is compliant with all applicable government security policies and regulations;
  • Coordinate with Government organization that has Security Cog of the SCIF;
  • Conduct Annual Self-Inspection of files and processes for the facility;
  • Issue facility badges to all permanent SCIF residents and obtain/track for those who depart;
  • Maintain SCIF Access Roster;
  • Oversee and support classified document destruction procedures (i.e. shredding);
  • Coordinate with the designated Information Systems Security Manager on matters relating to IT in the SCIF;
  • Conduct Annual Security Refresher Training for all permanent SCIF residents;
  • Provide status of visit requests for large and/or high visibility meetings to meeting POC two days prior to meeting date;
  • Ensure 24X7 coverage of front desk after hours, on weekends and holidays via after hours security guard vendor;
  • Create and maintain Facility Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);
  • Mentor/train Personnel Security Officer as backup to Security Officer position;
  • On an as needed basis, serve as backup to Receptionist;
  • Process all incoming visit requests and ensure Junior Security Officer/Receptionist has ready access to all data;
  • Serve as backup for scheduling conference rooms and parking;
  • Interface with NPS security personnel for transfer of NPS government personnel clearances;
  • Serve as a security resource for security questions related to RSC contracted work;
  • Assist Facility Manager in creation, maintenance, distribution and implementation of New Employee In-Processing Checklist;
  • Assist Facility Manager in creation, maintenance, distribution and implementation of Out-Processing Checklist for departing employees;
  • Assist Facility Manager in creation, maintenance and distribution of Suite Employee Handbook covering basic operation of equipment (phones, voicemail, etc.), policies and procedures for visitors, scheduling conference rooms/parking, etc.;
  • Assist Facility Manager in creation and maintenance of New Employee Welcome Package (to include: In-Processing Checklist, Facility Phone List, Facility Employee Handbook and other additional pertinent information);
  • Create and maintain Continuity Folder (includes, but not limited to: POCs for Guard Service, other security resources, etc.);

 

Qualifications

Typical Education and Experience: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience.

Courses in DoD Security and/or Security Certs are highly desirable.
