SUMMARY

The PR Manager will help to create and promote the company identity and mission to customers, the public, and employees. The PR Manager will support strategic initiatives to create and maintain a positive public image for the organization and all of its business functions, which includes current grants and contracts under the purview of ACS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Serves as a liaison between the organization and the public.
 
· Develops and maintains a positive public image for the organization through public-facing communication.

· Promotes and advances major business activities and successes of ACS supporting its mission to lead in expanding economic opportunity in partnership with employers.

· Plans, develops, implements, and organizes events and volunteers to advance the mission and goals of the organization.

· Responds timely to requests for information from media outlets maintaining the positive image of the organization.

·  Promotes and attends special events and functions.
 
· Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for special events.
 
· Establishes and maintains positive relationships with internal and external partners, including media outlets, customers, government employees, and trade, industry, and public interest groups.
 
· Arranges interviews for company’s executives, management, and others as needed, and assists in preparing for interviews.
 
· Evaluates advertising campaigns to ensure consistency with the organization’s public relations strategy.
 
·  Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization, such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
 
·  Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.
  
· Develops and manages communication plan and activities for the organization; promotes and reports on organizational milestones and activities, such as goals and projects, new products or services, community service activities, and new hires, promotions, and retirements.
 
· Maintains company standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance, including aligning work with the ACS Fundamentals.
 
·  Performs other related duties as assigned.
 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

· Extensive knowledge of public relations principles and strategies.
· Excellent public speaking skills.
· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for external publications.
· Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with media contacts and outlets. Excellent soft skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to listen to and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
· Familiar with media and communication tools, including video, social media platforms, and customer relationship management software.


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field required.


Experience: 3-5 years of experience in marketing, publications, or a related field required.
 
Compensation: $70,000 – 85,000/ annually
