Craft Instructor - Electrical
Location: Multiple Job Sites (50 percent travel required)
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per year

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrician who is passionate about mentoring and training the next generation of electrical apprentices. As an Craft Instructor - Electrical, you will play a critical role in shaping apprentice success by delivering high-quality instruction, hands-on training, and ongoing mentorship.
This position offers the opportunity to work with the largest intermediary apprenticeship company in the renewable energy space, helping apprentices build sustainable, long-term careers in meaningful work.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, mentoring, and training to electrical apprentices
- Prepare apprentices for success through skills development and workforce readiness
- Assist with apprentice onboarding and conduct progress reviews
- Deliver occupational skills training and develop curriculum for construction industry courses (including NCCER and OSHA-10)
- Design and deliver engaging instruction for individuals with diverse educational backgrounds and life experiences
- Develop instructional plans, lesson objectives, and course outlines aligned with curriculum standards
- Plan and conduct balanced programs of instruction, including demonstrations and hands-on projects
- Track and document apprentice mastery of competencies
- Prepare and implement remedial programs for apprentices requiring additional support
- Serve as a liaison and training representative at construction worksites
- Travel to various job sites to meet with and support apprentices
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician
- Construction industry experience required
- Solar or Substation experience preferred
- Licensed Electrician preferred
Skills & Requirements
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job sites within the assigned area
- Bilingual preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- NCCER Instructor Certification or ICTP Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment)
- Ability to pass an electrical competency test
