Material Handler and Inventory Control Support

A manufacturing company that has locations in Hudsonville, MI and Holland, MI is hiring for a 1st shift Material Handler and Inventory Control Support Specialist. This is a 1st shift position from 7am-3pm and moderate weekly overtime should be expected.

Material Handler and Inventory Control Support –HOLLAND – 1st shift

1. Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.

2. Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.

3. Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.

4. Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.

5. Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).

6. When problems arise, resolves issues with contractors or vendors.

7. Validates, approves, and forwards invoices to accounting department.

8. Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.

9. Assesses inventory reports and order and works directly with Buyer to identify items in need of delivery.

10. Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.

11. Assists with periodic (at least monthly) physical inventory audits.

12. Operates forklift truck.

13. Supports the use of inventory system under the direction of the Value Stream Manager and Buyer.

14. Learn and support the scheduling process.
