Job Title: Davenport Operator

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Davenport Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Davenport Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Davenport screw machines to produce high-quality precision parts. Responsibilities:

Machine Setup: Set up Davenport screw machines by selecting and installing appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Operation: Operate Davenport screw machines to produce precision parts, ensuring that machines are running efficiently and within specified tolerances.
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of machined parts by conducting regular inspections, measuring dimensions, and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Tool Changes: Change and adjust cutting tools and tooling as needed during production runs to maintain accuracy and quality.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of Davenport machines, including lubrication, tool changes, and minor repairs.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with machines or tooling, making adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, tool changes, and any issues encountered during operation.
Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Davenport Operator or in a similar machining role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
Attention to detail and precision in machining.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
