IP Litigation Paralegal – Washington, DC
The salary range is up to $70K, possibly more – minimum 3 years of ANDA experience
We are seeking an experienced paralegal to support the IP practice in the Washington, DC office. The candidate will provide paralegal support to a team of attorneys handling pharmaceutical litigation and must be able work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Primary responsibilities include: monitoring IP Litigation dockets; assisting with litigation filings and various jurisdictions; performing document production and creating binders with indices for pleadings; establish and maintaining calendar/docketing reminders and systems for IP team; proofreading all work; cite checking and formatting; conducting research and analysis; and other duties assigned.
The successful candidate will possess a BA/BS degree, be highly organized and motivated to follow through with assignments, have strong interpersonal skills and solid computer skills. Proficiency with MS Word Office Suite is useful. Candidates must have flexibility to work overtime, be self motivated, dependable and have the ability to work well under pressure while handling varied tasks within a busy legal environment. Punctuality, accuracy, attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills are essential. Must have trial preparation experience in district court. A background in biology or chemistry is preferred but not required. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, salary is flexible depending on the candidate
