Litigation Secretary (Plaintiffs law firm) – Redwood Shores, CA
Seeking a Litigation Secretary with 3+ years of recent experience in a high volume civil litigation setting. Candidate must have a bachelor's degree or commensurate experience. Trial experience and a paralegal certificate are both highly desirable. Experience supporting a managing partner or senior level attorney would be helpful. Prior experience with a small to medium size law firm. Will be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, electronic and written calendaring skills. Prior experience with ProLaw is a plus. Will have excellent software and administrative skills including high level proficiency in MS Word, the ability to generate TOCs/TOAs and excellent understanding of formatting and the styles function. Additionally, excellent spelling and proofreading skills are required. Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Must be flexible, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while successfully managing conflicting priorities. Ability to communicate with a diverse audience that includes attorneys, clients, staff and vendors. Knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure and Federals Rules of Civil Procedure, including e-filing procedures. Ability to identify/analyze problems and challenges and to recommend/implement solutions. Ability to maintain and nurture a positive attitude and workplace environment. Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting internal and external expectations. Ambition to take ownership and be a leader.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, salary is flexible depending on the candidate
