Litigation Associate Attorney (Complex/Business) - Washington, DC 

We are working with a major law firm whose Litigation Practice has an immediate opening for an Associate with 3-5+ years of insurance recovery and complex business litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a variety of experience representing corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes involving commercial property and business interruption, commercial general liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability and other coverage's.

Responsibilities/Duties: Work in all phases of complex commercial insurance coverage litigation, as well as on reviewing policies and drafting coverage analyses, corresponding with insurance carriers, negotiating confidentiality agreements, and assisting with, preparing for and attending client meetings, settlement conferences, mediations, and arbitrations.

Requirements: 

• 3-5+ years of insurance recovery and complex business litigation.
• Bachelor's degree and a Juris doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic performance is highly valued.
• Be a member or eligible to become a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of ethics and conduct codes which are a requirement for the proper and legal practice of the law.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, salary is flexible (they pay "big firm" rates!).
