Job Description

Amlaw 50 law firm is actively recruiting a partnership-track associate for an International Trade Associate position in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an attorney with a private law firm, in-house legal department, or the U.S. government, strong writing skills, and a superior record of academic and professional achievement. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently while producing top quality work with minimal supervision.

In addition, familiarity with and substantive experience in the following areas is preferred:

• Export controls and economic sanctions compliance, investigations, and licensing;
• The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS);
• Antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce and related appellate litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit;
• Fluency in one or more foreign languages and experience living and working outside the United States.
