Legal Secretary (Estates, Trusts & Tax Planning) – New York, NY

We are seeking an experienced legal secretary to primarily support a Trust & Estates partner and several members of the Trust & Estates team in the NY office. Responsibilities include document production, filing, billing, daily interaction with clients, time entry, and organizing and prioritizing daily workload. Experience in Trusts & Estates and all related documents is necessary. The successful candidate must have excellent administrative and client service skills, ability to handle a high volume desk, which requires organizational skills, extreme accuracy and attention to detail. Must be a critical thinker with ability to work independently. Excellent proofreading skills are essential. Advanced computer skills are necessary to handle the workload; knowledge of MS Office Suite is a must.


Candidates must possess 5+ legal secretarial experience, trust & estates preferred. The successful candidate will be a positive self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative and continually multi-tasks and prioritizes to handle the workload. Must be a team player and able to adapt to changing technologies and procedures. Overtime flexibility required. BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent in experience.


Compensation will be commensurate with experience, salary is flexible depending on the candidate (they told us to send over candidates with salary expectations)
