National law firm is accepting applications for an experienced attorney in the Executives and Professionals Practice Group. The Executives and Professionals Practice Group encompasses firm’s executive compensation and benefits practice. We represent employees, executives and professionals in connection with all types of employment- or service-related agreements. The practice group utilizes our team’s expertise in executive transactions, compensation, ERISA, international employment law, compensation-related tax issues, and dispute resolution to service clients in a wide array of industries across the globe.
The ideal candidate has: minimum of 7-10+ years’ experience representing individuals in the negotiation of executive employment and separation agreements and other transactional documents, plus very strong drafting, writing, analytical, and client-management skills and a commitment to representing individuals. Strong preference for applicants with experience with some or all of the following: offer letters and employment agreements for executives, managers, and other employees; partnership, shareholder, and LLC agreements; compensation, bonus, and equity agreements; severance, retention, and change-of-control agreements; expatriate agreements and secondment agreements; independent contractor and talent agreements, particularly in the entertainment industry; corporate restructuring agreements; and compensation issues, including deferred compensation issues under IRC Section 409A and 280G. Candidates with a strong skill set in contracts and compensation (including those with entertainment industry, tax, corporate, or in house counsel background) will succeed in this role. Senior associates, of counsel, and partner track candidates are encouraged to apply.
