Venture Technology Associate (Securities Focus) - New York, NY
One of our international law firms is seeking an associate with excellent academic credentials to join their rapidly growing and innovative Global Venture Technology practice. The associate hired for this position can be resident in either their Meatpacking NY office or their Short Hills, NJ office, and will be part of a team that is passionate about innovation and investing in success.
The ideal candidate for this position will have public securities and/or capital markets experience (in life sciences and technology), including representation of companies, investors and underwriters in public securities transactions and corporate governance and SEC reporting and compliance experience.
Responsibilities of the associate hire for this position will include:
•Working collaboratively with partners on public and private securities offerings and SEC compliance
•Counseling investors and emerging companies in day-to-day affairs and acting as quarterback on overall legal needs
•Representing high growth businesses in connection with financings, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters
•Representing the interests of venture firms and other sources of capital in transactions
•Helping to build relationships with clients and the broader ecosystem
