Senior Labor and Employment Attorney – New York, NY
We are working with a top law firm that has an opening for a senior partnership track associate to join its growing labor and employment group in New York. The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years’ experience in both employment-related litigation and transactional employment work. Candidate must be able to juggle multiple assignments, be strategic and detail oriented, have a high sense of urgency and have the ability to prioritize. Superior academic and writing credentials and solid law firm experience are required. New York bar admission is required. New Jersey/Pennsylvania/Connecticut bar admissions are a plus. Ideal candidates will have experience handling discrimination cases, wage and hour class actions and contract disputes in federal and state court and/or before administrative agencies such as the Department of Labor and human rights agencies. Traditional labor law and experience conducting employment training is also desired.
Transactional work includes: advice and counseling; wage and hour audits; federal and state employment law research and analysis of complex issues; preparation of employment-related documents such as employment and severance agreements, workplace policies and procedures, leaves of absence forms and letters, and employee communications.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, salary is flexible.
