The Brand Manager is responsible for supporting the Senior Director, Marketing in the development and management of brands across multiple categories. This role works with the marketing and cross functional teams to manage the innovation process as well as create and execute strategic marketing activities including advertising and promotional initiatives, business analysis, and annual marketing plans for each brand. The Brand Manager will provide the team with business recommendations and ideas that are grounded in consumer insights and financial data in order to contribute to the current and future growth of the brands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Support Senior Director, Marketing in launching developing brand plans and marketing strategies that are grounded in data and meet the brand objectives

  • Manage new product development from ideation to launch including owning work streams with cross functional teams - Assist in development and execution of engaging, integrated marketing plans and activities that achieve marketing and financial objectives

  • Identify trends and insights and provide recommendations based on findings

  • Analyze owned brand and competitive data on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities for growth and cost efficiencies

  • Own marketing budget and assist with management of Brand P&Ls

  • Partner with creative team to design and implement art work/packaging for new products

  • Partner with Social Media Manager to manage content calendar and help develop content that aligns marketing initatives and communcation strategies

  • Create agency and internal communication briefs for marketing campaigns, product launches and promotional activities

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and third-party agencies to create and execute promotions, art work/packaging, and advertising programs

  • Lead marketing innovation development process

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Possess a strong knowledge of CPG space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, consumer research, usability best practices and industry trends.

  • KPI Driven: Measure and report ongoing business performance and success of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals

  • Data-driven with a consumer-first focus. Ability to use analytics to provide strategic recommendations and drive growth

  • Ability to manage multuple projects and tasks simultaneously

  • Strong strategic thinking ability. Must be able to think strategically and tactically

  • Experience communicating at all levels across multiple functions and teams

  • Experience with developing brands with online category restrictions is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Internet Explorer)

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
