Senior Marketing Strategist

The Senior Marketing Strategist will provide leadership in the evaluation of strategic marketing objectives, formulation of strategic direction, and support decision-making based on assessment of data analytics and industry analysis. S/he will plan, organize, and develop analyses / assessments grounded in deep understanding of the industry and market trends, SMB owner behavior, customer segments, and competitive strategy. S/he will predict changes in the current market and summarize insights from proprietary and third-party data and information to create distinctive insights for the marketing organization.

Day-to-day activities include developing and implementing business analyses, managing business case development, developing strategic frameworks and managing processes to build business scenarios. The Senior Marketing Strategist will provide a point of view on key strategic issues across major dimensions of the business such as competitive activity, customer segments and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Define the market insights and trends
  • Develop strategies that drive brand awareness among targeted segments.
  • Identify creative messaging platforms that encourage action and loyalty amongst our target audience.
  • Build and present well-communicated strategies to executives and provide a logical framework for future innovation.
  • Identify new channels and creative opportunities

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success bridging insight delivered via data analytics with practical, revenue-generating sales and marketing activities.
  • 5+ years of work experience in functions focused on marketing strategy development, competitive, customer, and industry analysis, market research, analysis of product performance, and support of corporate development / strategic value assessment activities.
  • Experience supporting strategic assessments that are transformational in nature.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, problem structuring & problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior experience building strategic objectives roadmap.
  • Prior experience taking data insights and translating into project objectives.
  • Prior experience building collaboration across multiple departments/interests.
  • Financial business acumen.
  • Experience executing online and offline market tactics.
  • Direct mail experience a plus.
