Job Description

We are seeking a creative, self-driven and innovative individual to fill the role of Product Marketing Manager. Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer you will be responsible for all the research and marketing efforts required to market the product to our consumer and business segments. The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for all the tactical as well as managerial efforts required to bring the product to market.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Confirm customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies
  • Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing
  • Developing the Marketing Requirement document (MRD) which includes the following:
    • Product research
      • Existing products from other vendors
      • Product need
      • Product Key Benefits
      • Market Potential
      • Pricing
  • Product Definition including:
    • Product Overview
    • Industrial design concept
    • Safety Compliance requirements
    • Product Packaging
  • Management and coordination of all vendors and consultants
  • Reporting project status to management

Qualifications - successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Familiarity with consumer health product development, preferably in the health tech, wellness or science product space.
  • Knowledge of Smart Sheet or Microsoft Project
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to participate and contribute positively in work teams
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to complete projects, document work and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Team Work - Highly Skilled - Ability to lead and work in Teams
  • Motivation - High energy - Demonstrates high urgency when working
  • Project Management - Highly Skilled - Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Sense of humor

Education & Experience

  • 4-8 years Product Marketing experience with consumer goods/products and or health and wellness products
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
