As a Cost Accountant, you will be crucial in analyzing and optimizing our cost management processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Cost Analysis:. Analyzing production costs, identifying cost drivers, and providing insights to improve cost-efficiency.
2. Cost Accounting: Maintaining accurate cost accounting records, including standard costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in budget preparation, forecasting costs, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making.
4. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting inventory reconciliations, and analyzing inventory valuation.
5. Financial Reporting: Contributing to the preparation of financial statements, including cost-related disclosures and supporting schedules.
6. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements in cost accounting procedures and implementing best practices.
7. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls related to cost accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles and techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Sage, Blackline).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
