Vice President, People Operations
Overview
Aligned Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources Operations for a well respected company. This role is responsible for ensuring that people-related systems, processes, and services operate with reliability, precision, and scalability as the organization grows.
The Vice President, People Operations owns the execution engine behind HR—overseeing technology platforms, service delivery models, enterprise HR initiatives, and compliance infrastructure. Over time, this role will expand to include broader accountability for rewards and benefits administration. The position requires a leader who can translate organizational priorities into well-governed, repeatable operations that support both employees and leadership.
This executive partners closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer and senior business leaders to ensure HR operations function as a trusted, efficient, and insight-driven capability.
Primary Accountabilities
Operating Model & Leadership
Design and continuously refine the structure through which HR services and programs are delivered
Provide executive-level guidance on operational readiness, scalability, and risk exposure within the people function
Ensure employees experience consistent and dependable HR support throughout their tenure
HR Platforms & Information Management
Oversee the selection, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of HR systems and supporting technologies
Establish controls for data accuracy, system access, and platform integrations
Translate workforce data into practical insights for executive and HR leadership
Enterprise Execution
Govern the delivery of major HR initiatives using clear priorities, milestones, and accountability
Manage organization-wide efforts such as annual workforce processes, system transitions, and policy evolution
Build discipline around execution, adoption, and operational follow-through
Employee Services & Administration
Direct the administration of employment records, required documentation, and third-party services
Lead core employee processes including onboarding, transitions, leave management, and policy administration
Ensure service teams operate with professionalism, responsiveness, and consistency
Rewards Administration & External Partnerships
Oversee the administration of compensation and benefit programs in alignment with business needs
Coordinate annual pay and incentive activities in partnership with HR leadership
Manage vendor relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and cost discipline
Compliance & Risk Oversight
Maintain adherence to employment regulations, audit standards, and internal controls
Collaborate with legal, finance, payroll, and technology partners to safeguard data and processes
Proactively identify and address operational and regulatory risks
Performance & Efficiency
Define standards for service quality, system reliability, and operational effectiveness
Drive simplification and automation to reduce manual effort and improve cycle times
Enable HR partners to focus on strategic workforce priorities by removing operational friction
Occasional travel may be required
Additional responsibilities assigned as needed
Experience & Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business, or Information Systems
Ten or more years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of operational or shared-service functions
Demonstrated success managing HR technology platforms and operational service models
Experience supporting compensation, benefits, and vendor-managed services
Proven ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders
Strong executive presence and communication capability
Preferred
Advanced degree in business, HR, or a related discipline
Experience in organizations with distributed or multi-location workforces
Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PMP, CCP)
Familiarity with workforce reporting and analytics environments
