Job Description We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial analysis and reporting. You will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and maintaining the integrity of our financial information.
This is a not a hybrid role, the candidate will be required to work in the Coral Gables, FL office.
Responsibilities
Maintaining Accurate Financial Records:
• Prepare journals, and other financial documents, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Monitor and record all transactions related to Bitcoin ATMs, including cash flows and electronic transactions
• Regularly reconcile ATM cash balances with electronic logs and transaction records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare bank reconciliation and other financial reconciliations.
Reporting:
• Collect, analyze, verify, and report financial information.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business decision-making.
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans, monitoring variances.
Financial Compliance:
• Manage sales tax compliance across multiple states, ensuring accurate and timely filings to minimize penalties.
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide support during external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate their work.
• Collaborate with independent CPA audit firm by providing information timely and accurately when requested.
Oversee Accounting Functions:
• Supervise the work of Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Calculate rents and commissions, ensuring timely payment.
• Ensure that invoices are paid in a timely manner.
• Ensure that accounts receivable is collected promptly.
• Process payroll in a timely manner.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Licensed CPA / MBA a plus.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting or business operations experience, including management and direction of staff experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Previous experience in QuickBooks Online and NetSuite.
• Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, Word, and Google Office Products
• Advanced Excel skills
