Legal Support Specialist – Litigation Team
We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Support Specialist to join our Litigation team. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and demonstrates excellent communication and collaboration skills. A client-focused mindset and initiative-taking approach are essential to anticipate needs and deliver strategic, high-quality support.
Note: This is an in-office role with regular on-site presence required for operational support, team collaboration, training, and relationship building.
Position Summary
The Legal Support Specialist provides high-level support to a team of attorneys, performing complex administrative, document processing, and technical tasks. The role requires effective coordination and independent judgment to ensure the attorneys' day-to-day responsibilities are executed smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, proofread, and process legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, memoranda, and closing documents
Maintain and organize legal files (both physical and electronic)
Scan, update, and manage case documents and information
Coordinate document deliveries and track executed documentation
Field and manage incoming calls and messages for attorneys
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams
Collaborate with paralegals, administrative support, and other legal team members
Leverage internal resources to support workflow and case needs
Assist with overflow work and special projects as required
Qualifications
Skills & CompetenciesStrong administrative skills including calendar management, time entry, travel coordination, and expense processing

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum 4 years of legal support experience in a law firm environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with document management systems (e.g., iManage)
Knowledge of legal procedures, including state and federal court filings and e-filing systems
