Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage and process employee reimbursements as well as company credit card statements.
  • Act as the primary contact between the Operations and Human Resources departments.
  • Assist Project Administrators with various aspects of the hiring process.
  • Ensure daily invoice processing.
  • Administer payroll for both hourly and salaried employees on alternating pay schedules.
  • Oversee and ensure insurance policy compliance.
  • Closely monitor and oversee project finances.
  • Handle processing for change orders, contracts, lien releases, and payments to subcontractors.
  • Travel to project sites occasionally, as required.
  • Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
  • At least 2 years of relevant office experience in the General Contracting or Construction Management fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on providing support to project field teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and either Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat is a must.
  • Experience with construction financial management software, like CMIC, is advantageous.
  • Preferably experienced with Timeclock Plus, Ebix, Corpay, Kofax, or Imagetrust.
  • Familiarity with AIA documentation is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of budgeting, cost coding, and construction financial management is required.
