Position Summary
The Chief of Staff / General Manager will act as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, serving as a force multiplier to accelerate business growth. This role combines high-level planning with hands-on execution and offers a direct, measurable impact on organizational success. Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Partner with the CEO and COO to drive strategic initiatives, including facility expansion, market growth, and customer experience improvements.
Lead weekly leadership meetings and company-wide communications; track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones.
Serve as a cross-functional liaison between sales, engineering, lab operations, and customer accounts.
Own internal project planning and resource allocation for major customer-facing and operational initiatives.
Customer & Account Management
Oversee account managers and customer relationships to ensure high levels of service and communication.
Act as a bridge between technical lab teams and external stakeholders to align objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
Collaborate with technical and sales teams to manage the lifecycle of custom packaging solutions and development plans.
Vendor, Inventory & Process Management
Manage vendor relationships and oversee supply chain logistics, procurement, and inventory control.
Work with engineering and operations teams to optimize inventory systems; experience with digital inventory platforms is a plus.
Review contracts with customers, vendors, and partners; coordinate with external legal counsel to ensure alignment with business goals and mitigate risk.
Administrative & Financial Oversight
Manage core internal operations including payroll, insurance audits, retirement plans, and HR coordination with third-party providers (some functions may be outsourced).
Oversee financial functions such as budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and reporting in collaboration with external CPA and finance advisors.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is essential.
