Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Audit Senior to join our clients' dynamic public accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing audit engagements, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements for a diverse range of clients. The Audit Senior will work closely with Audit Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality audit services while mentoring and supervising junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Audit Engagements: Take responsibility for planning, executing, and managing audit engagements from start to finish for a variety of clients, including preparation and execution of audit programs.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Communicate effectively with clients to identify areas of concern and develop practical solutions.
- Risk Assessment & Internal Controls: Evaluate clients' internal controls and perform risk assessments to determine the scope of audits and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Audit Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of audit work, findings, and conclusions in line with firm policies and relevant regulatory standards.
- Manage Multiple Projects: Successfully manage multiple engagements, ensuring deadlines and budget constraints are met while delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Audit Managers, Partners, and other team members to identify issues, discuss progress, and formulate strategies for engagement completion.
- Stay Updated on Accounting Standards: Continuously stay informed on accounting, auditing, and industry-specific developments to ensure compliance and provide value-added services to clients.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent designation preferred, or actively pursuing certification.
Experience: 2+ years of public accounting experience in audit, with a proven track record of managing audits and supervising staff.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards. Experience with accounting software QuickBooks.
