San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is a locally run not-for-profit bringing clean energy and community choice to San Diego. The CEO oversees all administrative functions, including finance, human resources, marketing, public affairs, power planning and procurement, supply operations, local energy programs, and regulatory and legislative affairs. They also maintain positive relationships with the SDCP Board, the Community Advisory Committee, customers, government agencies, private businesses, the California Public Utilities Commission, and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a well-respected, dynamic, and influential leader with a history of driving results to achieve their organization’s mission. They have a strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and are committed to making SDCP the premier CCA in the country. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and significant organizational leadership experience. The most competitive candidates will have executive-level experience in California renewable energy markets and hands-on experience with large-scale power procurement, renewable power development, and community-facing programs. A Master’s degree is highly desirable. A strong network of local connections is advantageous.
