The Deputy CEO assists the CEO in planning, organizing and directing all operations — including systems, programs, and administrative services — for an award-winning organization that employs 450 people and has an administrative budget above $95 million. The ideal candidate has a great attitude and excellent writing, presentation and listening skills. They are an action-oriented self-starter who is strategic, proactive, and politically astute. The best-qualified candidate is familiar with large call center operations and has a strong understanding of the County Employees Retirement Law (CERL) of 1937. Requires education in business or public administration. Also requires demonstrated knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing public pension funds; and the ability to lead others in providing a comprehensive program of retirement, disability, survivor, and health benefits for retired members.
