Assistant Director of Seaport Engineering and Facilities Maintenance - Port Everglades

The Assistant Director of Seaport Engineering & Facilities Maintenance is a newly created position that reports to the Director of Seaport Engineering & Facilities Maintenance and will have 3 direct reports with an overall staff of 50. The position is primarily responsible for building and site maintenance, repair and remodeling of assigned facilities, coordinate and direct the daily operations of Port facilities/maintenance section for trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, lighting, mechanical, utilities, drainage, roadway, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and PA systems.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Engineering or a closely related field and six years of experience in facilities and maintenance operations, capital project management, and/or design and engineering, including three years of supervisory experience. Also requires certification as a Florida Registered Engineer (P.E.) or certification as a P.E. in another state that has reciprocity with Florida. Other certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Florida Contractor’s License, LEED Certification would be a plus. The selected candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain a “Transportation Workers Identification Credential.”

Salary $92,696 - $147,944
