American Dream Search has partnered with one of the fastest growing Metal Roofing & Siding companies in the United States on a Regional General Manager (VP-South) search.
Summary (About this Position):
We are looking for a Regional General Manager (VP-South) to oversee four, profitable southern branches and guide, mentor, and assists their General Management team to ensure key KPI’s for quality, cost, delivery, safety, sales and service (QCDSSS) are achieved consistently.
Your Profile (Required background)
- 5+ years sales and/or operational leadership experience
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Experience in a manufacturing or sales environment, with experience with metal roll- forming or steel manufacturing a PLUS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Energetic, entrepreneurial spirit.
- Effective writing and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Job Duties:
- Monitors market and competitor activity and makes recommendations for sales strategies to achieve sustained growth in their markets.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques, quality control, cost reduction, efficient delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction protocols.
- Works to Increase production capacity and remove operational inefficiencies.
- Develops annual sales and expense budgets for their assigned plants.
- Works in conjunction with branches in the development of annual CAPEX plans.
- Work with general managers at assigned branches to develop technician cross training programs.
- Review existing safety protocols at branches and implement improvements to achieve the objective of zero lost time and reoccurring safety incidents.
- Determine appropriate staffing levels for plants based on volume/need and make recommendations.
- Mentor and train general managers to be owners of their facilities (entrepreneurs).
- Drive safety-quality and fiscal accountability at the branches.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and proper workers compensation record keeping.
- Maintain regular cadence of communication with branch leaders.
- Be a fixture and main-point of contact between branch general managers and senior management.
- Identify and develop “world class” sales leaders a n d implement sales initiatives to achieve sustained growth at the branches.
- Maintain and monitor fleet compliance to DOT regulations and report discrepancies to fleet director and senior management.
- Perform annual performance reviews of general managers.
- Provide regular performance and improvement updates to senior management.
- Fill in when necessary for general managers who areaway on personal time off (PTO).
- Submit a comprehensive quarterly assessment on branches assigned (SWOT).
- Support other branches and projects, as necessary.
- Additional responsibilities, as necessary and/or directed.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $125,000 - $150,000 Base Salary
- Profit Bonus
