ASA has a membership of 4900 professionals and is a multi-disciplinary society representing all appraisal disciplines, including Appraisal Review &amp; Management, Business Valuation, Gems &amp; Jewelry, Machinery &amp; Technical Specialties, Personal Property, and Real Property. Founded in 1952, the Society has a domestic and international membership across 4 geographic regions and 66 chapters. ASA&rsquo;s mission is to foster the public trust of its membership and the appraisal profession through compliance with the highest levels of ethical and professional standards. The CEO will work closely with the fourteen-member Board of Governors and staff to increase the Society&rsquo;s public profile, to continue to build this sustainable organization, and expand international membership. The CEO is also responsible for ensuring that Members adhere to the principles of the appraisal practice (both nationally and internationally) and the Society&rsquo;s code of ethics.</p><p>Qualifications include executive-level management experience. Although academic credentials are essential, there is a strong preference for measurable, successful career experience. Prior experience with a similar size organization or association is preferable; CAE credential is highly desirable. Essential characteristics include strong communication and negotiation skills, diplomacy, and a demonstrated ability to build consensus and to work with a variety of member interests and agendas.
