This role will sit with our Detection and Response team. Our team is responsible for Building, testing and maintaining threat detection controls. Building, operating and maintaining a mature security operations program and leading investigations on cybersecurity events. 

This is a great role for someone who is junior in the cybersecurity world get hands on experience with a high level team.

Responsibilities

? Monitor, triage and investigate security threats across Aurora systems and networks

? Help to continuously improve cybersecurity detection and response operations

? Contribute to Security Operations knowledge base materials (playbooks, runbooks,

etc.)

? Track Security Operations KPIs

? Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and escalations

 

Essential skills you need

? Experience working in a Security Operations program

? Familiarity with Cloud Security (AWS)

? Willingness to learn new Security Operations technologies and skills? Experience triaging and investigating cybersecurity alerts

? Experience with SIEM, EDR and log analysis

? Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to

   communicate clearly

? Python coding familiarity

 

Desirable skills to have

? SIEM correlation rule tuning and lifecycle management

? Experience conducting training and mentoring for Security Operations and Incident

Response

? Experience with infrastructure-as-code

? Metrics/Data Analytics experience

? Experience aligning Security Operations with industry standards including NIST /

SOC2 / ISO

Comp is anywhere from $55-$60 an hour and this is a 4-6 month contract with option to either extend after or convert to full time.
